November-December-Christmas 2021 Prayer Letter

Dear Free Indeed Intercessors,

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this. Isaiah 9:6-7

THANKFUL
We are especially Thankful and Grateful this Thanksgiving-Christmas for the Lord’s righteousness, peace and joy.

Why Is This a November-December-Christmas Prayer Letter?

The October prayer letter was sent on Monday, October 11th. On Wednesday, October 13th, I was up early to take part in an hour of prayer with the Aqueduct Project Board of Intercessors. As we went through the day, Robby and I found ourselves sneezing and coughing a lot. By 6:00 pm, Robby found herself hurting all over, “Even my eyelids hurt!” Then she said, “This must be Covid. Thank you, Lord!” She had been looking forward to going through Covid so that we could acquire the antibodies.

That week was a blur of getting the additional things we needed to make it through, sleeping much, doing only what had to be done. A week later, I was able to pull myself out of bed and just listen to the others praying for the Aqueduct Project (AQ). But that Saturday, October 23rd, we were no longer contagious and I was able to be participate in the Washington Kingdom Alliance meeting in Spokane that day.

By November 3rd, sometime after early AQ prayer, Robby and I visited our doctor hoping to get tested and find that we do now have the antibodies. Before we got that far, “Doc” put her stethoscope on each of us. Robby was fine, I was not. She called for an EKG machine and quickly verified that I had Atrial Fibrillation and ordered me off to a cardiologist.

Well… the end of that story has not yet been told. Of one thing we are sure. The Lord God Almighty reigns; always has, does now, always will. And we are in his loving and powerful hands.

Answered Prayers for November-early December 2021

Answers in italics.

Friday, October 23 – the second physical gathering of the Washington Kingdom Alliance, 10:00-Noon with lunch following, at Access Church, 1412 W Central Ave, Spokane WA 99205 in Spokane WA. A small Ekklesia of about 12 gathered and prayed around the circle as Holy Spirit led and we listened. I sensed the atmosphere changing for the better as the Lord Jesus answered the prayers from this part of his Ekklesia in Spokane. We concluded by ministering to several and then lunch-fellowship, some of it hysterically funny,

Robby was strong enough by Monday, November 8th to drive herself over Snoqualmie Pass to be with her Mother Carol (99) and Brother Garth and come back on the 10th. She had a safe trip and a wonderful time.

The Ekklesia of Christ is our continuing God-given focus. After finishing Ekklesia Rising by Dean Briggs, the second book that Robby and I are studying is Ekklesia: Rediscovering God’s Instrument for Global Transformation by Ed Silvoso. It is good! I believe it will pay big kingdom dividends for us to know who we really are and what we are designed to do as Christ’s Ekklesia. I finished Ed’s book first, about three days before we traveled to Draper Utah for an early 4-day Thanksgiving, Thursday-Monday, November 18-22, with our Son Ed and his wife Anne. The Lord encouraged me to share Ekklesia with them and give the book to Anne. The Lord gave us an over-the-top, unforgettable, blessed time together.

A second Thanksgiving took place in our home with daughter Amy’s Morrison Family. It was an especially good and real Thanksgiving as well. Robby asked the gathered group, “Is there a difference between thankfulness and gratitude?” Everyone gave this question careful thought; our two youngest, Corrie and Kaitlin, were the first to speak to it, initiating a lively discussion in which we each had something to say. By the time we started telling what are are thankful for, there were some heart-felt testimonies, primed by the earlier discussion. Wow!

It is such a privilege to be part of the group of approximately twelve intercessors from around the world that meet by Zoom every Wednesday morning as the Aqueduct Project Board of Intercessors. The Lord’s Ekklesia is alive and well in this group.

An Update of Robby Grether’s “Unexpected Blessing” in our October letter…

There havebeen some developments since that first meeting of two frustrated musicians in October.  Jenn and I happily continue to play together nearly every week (except for the couple of weeks where Daniel and I dealt with covid!!).   We work incredibly well together, easily coming into agreement on such things as a name for our group: Heart Strings- Robby and Jenn on piano and viola.  As well as being a gifted violist, Jenn is also a computer techie.  For example, she knows how to record/produce music videos.  So for our first album, we focused on Christmas music.  If you’re interested in hearing us, you can click on the link above or search on You Tube under our name (may take some effort on your part since there are a number of “Heart Strings” entities.  Once you’ve found it, please subscribe.  “We’ve only just begun…”
