Dear Free Indeed Ministries Intercessors,
Thank you so much for praying! The 2018 Spokane Prayer Summit set the pace for the rest of the month and more. Here is something of what happened.
Spokane Prayer Summit
October 1-3, 2018
The Lord promised that he would do great things at this Prayer Summit and he did!

- We experienced the heavenly worship described in Revelation 4-5, exactly the theme we were given.
- The Lord provided exactly the worshiper to take us there.
- We were awestruck and silent for some time after worshiping at the throne Tuesday evening with “holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty” and “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain.”
- The Lord answered each of us when we got alone with God the first afternoon and asked the question, “What work of repentance do you want to do in me at this summit?”
- Many were refreshed and renewed. Friendships were renewed and new ones made.
- The facilitators and session leaders did well at leading us into seasons of productive prayer.
- The Lord answered our prayers for greater unity in the Church of Spokane and the Inland NW.
- We surrounded various attendees with love, prayer and encouraging words.
- Someone said early on, “He’s going to come here. I can sense his heart. I feel so much peace so far!” Afterwards, “I was changed by these days of worshiping more than I can say, so I won’t even try. It was a resurrection.”
- Someone else said, “God touched me in a way he hasn’t touched me in a long time.” The person’s radiant face confirmed the testimony.
- “After we came back from ministry to each other, there was a vibrancy of relationships that wasn’t here before! We had prophesied over and spoken biblical truth to each other. God restores his Bride when we speak truth to each other. We find Jesus in each other and allow Holy Spirit to bless Jesus in each other. We intentionally honored each other.”
Answered Prayers for October 2018

October 1-3: The 2018 Spokane Regional Leaders Prayer Summit at Ross Point Conference Center. Please pray for the Lord’s presence to impact every attendee, for greater awe of God, for each of us to experience intimate communion with the Lord and for unity in the Spirit among the attendees. A list of those attending is here. Every one of these prayer requests was answered!
The Lord also did a new work of heart circumcision in Daniel on the first afternoon that removed much from my heart, like pruning a branch in the Vine so that it will be more fruitful. That left the heart much smaller, but with more ability to do what the Lord has called me to do in this new day.
October 5-14: Daniel and Robby recharge at a beach home on the NW end of Whidbey Island. Pray that the Lord will once again add his focus for this time. This time was incredibly refreshing. Holy Spirit led us to debrief and live into what the Lord did overall and in us at the Prayer Summit. We also took the ferry (and saw whales both ways) from Anacortes all the way to Sidney BC to visit Victoria for the first visit in decades. Walking around Victoria was wonderful.
October 18-22: Pastor Ed and Janice Hird from Vancouver BC will be with us in Spokane. It was a jam-packed several days which included getting to know this couple, connect with dear friends from Eagle Valley, MT and Keller, WA.
October 19: Our Free Indeed Ministries team meets. Robby, Joel and I debriefed and shared with team members about the Prayer Summit and the harvest that is upon us.
October 20: My Father’s House of Prayer is holding an Open House from 4:00-6:00 pm. Please come. It was a great Open House! The house was clean and orderly with a newly finished upstairs caretaker’s apartment and main-floor bathroom to show off as well as some Victorian colors of paint on the outside. The heart of the House was full of people. Jim Leuschen gave history and a very strong statement on what this House of Prayer is and isn’t. We were greatly encouraged.
Prayer Requests for November 2018
Please join us in praying for the next month of life and ministry:
The Lord has been transforming younger and older local people “from glory to glory” (2 Cor. 3:18). What a great privilege it is to be walking with some of them for mutual encouragement and transformation. One such younger man with I whom I just reconnected has encouraged me to invite several of the other young men to a brief get together with him and me. Would you cover this with prayer, please?
Throughout this month I will be paying close attention to my “new little heart” resulting from the Lord’s work on first day of the Spokane Prayer Summit. Pray I will learn what this heart is designed to do and then walk accordingly.
November 1: Daniel will present Table 71 for the first hour of Dave Beine’s Oral Storying class at Great Northern University (GNU).
November 1-4: Daniel and Robby will attend selected sessions of the Aglow 2018 National Conference in Spokane.
November 7: the Annual Meeting of the Fairwood Park ll Homeowners Association, with Robby serving as the HOA secretary.
November 8: Meeting with Dr. Wendy Liddle, President of GNU.
November 9: Daniel and Joel Endress meet most Fridays as Free Indeed.
November 14: we both serve at the Spokane Tribal Elders Thanksgiving Dinner in Wellpinit.
November 16: prayer for missionaries Jeremy and Jenell Morris and the tribe they serve in East Africa. Pray that they will finish well and that the discipleship movement will continue growing as they return home soon for a time.
We are so blessed to have you prayer warriors and intercessors standing with us in sustaining prayer. Much more happens because of your prayers than we can report. We love and appreciate you so much! May your reward be great.
Yours and Christ’s for a Spokane made radiant by the waves of God’s glory crashing over us that will in turn bless all the families and peoples of the earth,
Daniel and Robby Grether
