May 2020 Prayer Letter

Dear Free Indeed Intercessors,

“What’s the Good News? Christ died for sinners!”

Holy Spirit reminded me of this Sunday School chorus from long ago inspiring me to share with you many snippets of his quality good news from the month of April.

Celebrating Passover 2020, thanks to being shut in our homes, was more like the first Passover with Moses and Israelites and Jesus and the disciples than most Passover celebrations have been since. We believe the one was significant in its impact. As we spiritually applied the Blood of the Lamb of God on our lintels and doorposts, we looked for deliverance not only from the virus in the news, but all the other spiritual viruses that still have some effect in the Church. Passover—Holy Alignment (translated into 24 languages) was a worldwide celebration by Zoom that included Messianic Jews, Christian Arabs and believers from many nations in our own homes, knitted together in love

The preaching of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday was strong, a great light in a dark time. Here is Jim Leuschen of New Covenant Fellowship in Spokane giving an extraordinary message. Start about 5:45 minutes into the video.

Joel News says, “Coronavirus is bringing unprecedented openness to the Gospel” and gives some examples of how this is happening around the world.

Scripture exhorts us to believe God and also believe his prophets. (2 Chronicles 20:20) Never have we had the ability to hear from his prophets in real-time like today. Robby and I appreciated a Prophetic Dateline which brought much encouragement and focus to this time between Passover and Pentecost. You might want to start with Rick Ridings from Jerusalem about 3 minutes in.

Amid the shakings during these days, the nations are being discipled in amazing ways. (Matt. 28:18-20) The Family, another Zoom global gathering (in 10 languages), focused on China and North Korea. The testimonies we heard were gut-wrenching, but dramatically portrayed our God at work. The Lord is telling the ruling strong men of these nations to “Let my people go so that they can worship me.” You can pick which part you would like to view on the link.

Our own daughter, Amy Morrison’s family of six is now at home together, rather than at two workplaces and four schools. Life is less hectic and in many ways more enjoyable for the whole family. They can no longer “go to church,” but the “family altar” is being reestablished.

Steven Damerville is also “non-essential” and at home with his large family of little ones in a neighborhood with many other families also without work or school and home together. As they gathered around the school bus that bought lunches for the children the first day, several families met and compared notes and shared needs. The Damervilles graciously shared what they had to meet the needs that day and are now gathering and distributing food for a number of families. They are also able to help others as they struggle being together at home all the time, marriages, child-raising, home schooling, and Bibles. People are now able to see what Christians are like, how much they love and how much they can help with life issues.

There is no end to the good news. God is good all the time.

Answered Prayers for April 2020

Answers in italics.

Friday, April 3, 17 and 24, 10 am – Joel Endress and Daniel Grether of Free Indeed meet by FaceTime. These intergenerational times are always good for the kingdom and Free Indeed.

Friday, April 3, 1:00 pm – Those currently committed to the “Cardinal Points N.E.W.S.” initiative in Tacoma, Seattle, and Spokane Washington will be gathering by ZOOM for the first time. Pastor Chris Drake of Embyrs in Coeur d’Alene offered to host, saying he’s “super excited about things happening right now… and getting to know each other. Being the crazy spiritual people we are, I’m sure there is bound to be spontaneous prayer and in general loving on Jesus!” This first meeting, getting to know most of the others, was every bit as good as Chris expected.

Thursday evening till Friday evening, April 8-9 – this is Passover when we remember to apply the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God, “on our lintel and doorposts so that the death angel will pass over us.” Exodus 12:21-37 NKJV. How appropriate at this time. Protect us, sheltered under the blood of the Lamb, in this Passover season, Lord. Grant us resurrection strength and courage to go to the new place to which you are calling us.

The Lord has been answering the prayer above and also blessed us with the worldwide Passover Gathering.

Friday, April 10, 9:30-10:30 – the Free Indeed Ministries team meets with “Go to Meeting” digital help. We will spend some time looking at our new paradigm for Acts 1:8 ministry in four parts of the world simultaneously. We can’t do everything that needs to be done, but we can place our fingerprints (full of Holy Spirit) wherever he leads us. It’s wonderful to be Free Indeed team in Christ these days.

Saturday, April 18, 10:30 am – the Washington Kingdom Alliance will meet again by ZOOM for strategic prayer to “release heaven on this land.” Contact Free Indeed to be included. It was another real kingdom time together. A friend I invited had not experienced being part of a group like this that focuses not on our own “kingdom” but on God’s.

Thank you for following and co-laboring with us in prayer, financial support and hands-on partnership. You are deeply appreciated!

Yours and Christ’s for the Acts 1:8 ministry in Spokane, the Inland Northwest, Cascadia and the ends of the earth.
