Dear Free Indeed Intercessors,
Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:14-15
The Gospel of the Kingdom
Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom. Are we preaching and living it? What exactly does it mean? I’ve been trying to get a better handle on this and pondering how to present it in this space.
The answer came when this Saturday morning I attended a Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship in America (FGBMFA) meeting at Frankie Doodle’s. I was pleasantly surprised when everyone who spoke during the meeting specifically referred to the good news of the kingdom of God. Our worship leader explained that when Jesus revealed himself at a gay parade years ago, the Lord didn’t require him to change. Instead, the king called him to surrender. Our host spoke about the day that the kingdom of God entered his life through the loving personal prayer ministry of the businessmen at an earlier FGBMFI restaurant meeting. Our guest speaker read 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 before she shared her painful testimony of fatherlessness and its results. At some point she worked closely beside several believers who joyfully shared their lives and faith, resulting in her entry into the good news kingdom. And a realization of how the Lord was doing his reconciling work in her life the whole time. Another person told of a recent powerful healing kingdom work and new calling in his life for unity in the body of Christ. How I wish I could adequately convey the full Holy Spirit power of these and more kingdom testimonies that filled that room.
I was amazed that everyone that spoke testified to the gospel of the kingdom, each in his or her own way. There was not an iota of pride. All were accounts of their need and God’s great kingdom provision to meet their needs through the Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit.
We have stepped into a time of great Awakening in which the gospel of the kingdom is already powerfully and fruitfully at work.

Answered Prayers for February 2020
Answers in italics.
Tim Scott from the Light of the World Prayer Center in Bellingham WA was with us this month. He told us about their Day2Pray prayer canopy over Whatcom County. What he presented was inspiring and helpful.
February 3-4 – Daniel will be at a Table 71 meeting at the Wycliffe USA headquarters in Orlando, FL. Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church, now heading up Finishing the Task, was with us for the first time. He is a valuable addition. Our whole time together for two days is rich and rewarding. In one conversation at the table, one participant said to another, “We’ve been talking about the gospel of salvation. When are we going to talk about the gospel of the Kingdom as Jesus did?” That got me thinking.
February 20 – Several of us Native Americans and “European Americans” will meet to get to know each other better for the sake of new relationships that can help connect our communities together in love. The conversation was not easy. But we refocused on our Lord with thanksgiving for all that he is doing, and our Native American friends went home rejoicing.
The Lord filled February’s calendar with many other “God-events.” Thank you for praying!
