December 2020 Prayer Letter

Dear Free Indeed Intercessors,

We felt an explosion of prayer in November

“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

The Lord told me to fly this An Appeal to Heaven flag on our house. Dutch Sheets is the one that has told us the full story of this historic flag which George Washington flew on the ships he had commissioned in preparation for our War of Independence. The Lord has brought the memory of this flag for just such a time as this in our nation’s history. Robby and I are flying it to remind ourselves and every passer-by that we are appealing to our God in the court of heaven for him to dispense the just decision that we need.

There has been an incredible amount of united and concerted prayer recently in the United States of America, hasn’t there? Robby and I got to experience it in Washington DC in October, and it only increased as we came closer to the election, accelerating since then with our still disputed election results. So many of us are crying out to heaven in this desperate time. And so much is coming to light and shifting our national perception of the truth each additional day. We are thanking the Lord for these answered prayers. Though our prayers have mostly been focused on what we see happening on earth, the real battle is in the spiritual realm. (Ephesians 6:10-20) Our God is definitely taking full advantage of the circumstances to expose and defeat our enemy and to bring us, his people, into the purity and maturity that he desires for us.

A week ago Robby and I experienced an excellent day of fasting and prayer. We prayed seriously for true, faithful results of our United States election; a number of Christian leaders such as Dutch Sheets helped us with key suggestions for prayer. We ended up praying more powerfully than ever through Psalm 2. As the body of Christ, so we appropriately use his name and authority in our prayers as we reign with him.

During the next few days, I was found myself enabled to “take my seat in the heavenly places with Christ” (Ephesians 2:6) and view the whole world below from quite a different perspective. Praying both in the mind and in the Spirit, Holy Spirit definitely gave fresh help. I was led strongly through every phrase of the Lord’s Prayer. (Matthew 6:9-15) Then, the Greatest Commandment intersected and came to the fore. I don’t believe I’ve ever considered each of the ways we are to love God (heart, soul, mind and strength) in such depth. Wow! (Mark 12:30) The awesome statements about God, the Father, and our Lord, Jesus Christ weighed into the mix (I Corinthians 8:5-7) along with Ephesians 4:6 about our God who is “over all and through all and in all.” I wish I could accurately share what was happening in me during those hours with you. I want to pray this way often.

Answered Prayers for November 2020 Answers in italics.

Sunday-Tuesday, November 1-3 – A Day of Repentance on Sunday, and all three-days Esther Fast for our election and our nation. Watchmen for the Nations will have a Gathering “Standing for America” on election day, November 3, starting at 5:00 am PST on Zoom that can also be watched later. The Standing for America Gathering was heartwarming. We continued in prayer through the day. Thankfully, we discovered an online election news coverage program from a Christian perspective that evening on the Victory Channel. The news we watched was significantly different than all the other networks. We believe it was more truthful and informative. Apparently there has been a big shift in these weeks from traditional news sources to new sources and better ones. For such a time as this!

We went to bed late on election day, believing that President Trump had won the election handily. We woke up the next morning to news that Vice-President Biden had gained the lead. Robby was so devastated by the news that she couldn’t get out of bed. Then the Lord reminded her of the Civil War Christmas Carol called, “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” and highlighted several words.

Stanzas 3-4 are:

And in despair I bowed my head:

“There is no peace on earth,” I said,

“For hate is strong and mocks the song

Of peace on earth, good will to men.”

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:

“God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;

The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,

With peace on earth, good will to men.”

When Holy Spirit spoke highlighted the words, “The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,” they completely revived Robby and she has vigorously been living by them ever since.

Friday, November 13 – Free Indeed Ministries Int’l team meets. This meeting was real and personal and prayerful with full participation. We experience the answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21-23 that we be “one… one… perfectly one.”

Friday-Monday, November 13-16 – John and Holly Roddam will be in Spokane staying in our home. We had a great visit at our home and also at the RAIN Luncheon on Monday.

Tuesday-Thursday, November 17-19 – God’s Vision Quest Gathering at Ross Point Camp and Conference Center, Post Falls, ID. Those the Lord leads to attend, will experience a coming together that will be fruitful. Tom and Wilma Bob, Daniel and Robby Grether, Deborah Knutson and Neil and Dana Gamble are prayerfully seeking and following the Lord for this gathering. Please contact Daniel for more details if Holy Spirit prompts you. Your prayers were answered for a fruitful gathering with about 20 people. The felt presence of God was with us in the circle from the first morning. The second day, Jesus came into the meeting with fire and liquid love. Prayer for healing for a broken foot was answered by Jesus’ touch. New freedom came to several. Sharing was rich. We grew together and came to know and love each other more deeply. Rivers of living water will flow because of this gathering.
