Daniel and Robby Grether met and married while attending Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. Later their family, which now included two young children, went with Daniel for his training at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, CA. After years of pastoral ministry, they gathered friends in 1996 to establish Free Indeed Ministries International. “Free Indeed” speaks of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son who sets us free, and the increasing freedom in our lives to hear God and follow his direction. They have delighted in being led by the Lord in personal ministries of prayer, impartation, and deep heart work.
The Lord gave Daniel and Robby a new vision of what he is doing: our city, Spokane, radiant with the glory of the Lord Jesus so much so that the blessings touch every people group on earth. They stand together as a father and mother on behalf of Spokane and the Inland Northwest, knitting the body of Christ together in love. They count it a privilege to walk with God as he lights up Spokane and impacts nations and they are thrilled to share what they see him doing.
Daniel mentors young men and enjoys ministry partnership gatherings in the US and international ministry. Robby is an anointed pianist who draws people into worship. She is teaching piano to her granddaughters, loves to read and “keep house and yard.” The Grethers enjoy spending time with their adult children and four grandchildren, canoeing, camping and traveling together.

Joel Endress is the most recent addition to the Board of Free Indeed Ministries, coming on in 2013. He says, “The core vision of Free Indeed Ministries, Int’l is powerful! I am passionate about seeing a healthy and united church, ready for our King. I can think of no more worthy cause than bringing the Body of Christ together in love. ” Joel’s educational background in Organizational Leadership (BA from Simpson University, 2014) and two years of experience in marketing and communications in the Christian non-profit sector has wonderfully prepared him to serve as Vice President of Free Indeed Ministries, where he is engaged in helping to develop the organizational structure of the ministry. Joel’s years of study at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry (graduating in 2010) helped ready him to serve as the Young Adults Pastor at his home church (Access) where his passion is seeing Christians walk in the calling God has placed on their lives. On a personal level, Joel married his beautiful wife Letty in September 2015. He enjoys motorcycle riding, rock climbing, skiing and skydiving when he gets the chance.
Marc & Karen McConnell
Marc and Karen McConnell are also founding members of the FIMI Board. Marc serves as Treasurer for Free Indeed Ministries. He loves photography, especially editing the pictures he takes. He is also an avid reader of Christian, economics and finance books. Karen says that she and Marc are “joyfully married, lifetime partners.” Indeed, JOY is a word that characterizes this couple and laughter comes easily to both of them. Karen, too, loves music and worship. Marc and Karen are people of wisdom and integrity, often bringing a prophetic word of direction to set things in order.
