Daniel and Robby Grether’s Prayer Letter
Dear Free Indeed Ministries Intercessors,
What an amazing month September has been. A dear intercessor friend was instrumental in making it so. Several years ago, I had listened to twelve CDs about The Angel Network by Tim Sheets and learned more biblical truth about angels than I could imagine. But the week before Robby and I went camping, our friend pointed me to a book by Tim Sheets that came out just last year titled Angel Armies. Of special value were the “decrees” (statements of our agreement with God’s purposes) at the end of the book. I knew Holy Spirit was leading me to purchase the book and read it while we camped. What an impact Angel Armies had on our September, especially the preparations for the Spokane Prayer Summit starting on Monday, October 2, 2017.

Answered Prayers for September 2017
1. REQUEST: Sunday-Monday, 8/27-9/4/17, Vacation at Sam Owen Campground on Lake Pend Oreille. Pray for refreshing-recharging and relationship-building time with our daughter’s family at the lake. Pray also for a download from the Lord for a special upcoming ministry engagement in September.
ANSWER: We were refreshed and restored. Holy Spirit led me the week before to bring and read Angel Armies: Releasing the Warriors of Heaven by Tim Sheets. I was totally revived and refired for the next season and heartily recommend this book. The last three days was a heart-warming time with our daughter’s family, which includes our four grandchildren. The special ministry at Access Church went well, too.
2. REQUEST: Mondays, 9/4/17 and on, 6-8 pm, Robby and I do a prayer session at My Father’s House of Prayer (MFHOP). The MFHOP team meets as a whole on 9/15 and 9/22. As the House of Prayer moves forward, our team of eight is entering into a deeper level of honest wrestling than ever before. Please continue to hold us in prayer.
ANSWER: It’s good for us to have a stated prayer time weekly in My Father’s House. The MFHOP team is moving forward into closer oneness. The caretakers’ residence in the House is also moving forward to habitability.
3. REQUEST: Wednesday, 9/6/17, I meet with Pastor Josh Bingle in the morning and Bill Schara in the afternoon. Pray for these connecting, strengthening and “fire building” times. The Lord fills each month as it progresses with key appointments.
ANSWER: These were very good meetings.
4. REQUEST: Friday, 9/8/17, the Free Indeed Ministries Int’l team meets. Pray for Holy Spirit wind in our sails.
ANSWER: We are feeling that Holy Spirit wind.
5. REQUEST: Monday, 9/11/17, 2:30, the Spokane Prayer Summit team meets at My Father’s House of Prayer. Pray ahead for this fall’s Prayer Summit, October 2-4, 2017 at Ross Point, and for this last scheduled team meeting at which to pray and prepare, that Jesus, the Lord of glory, will meet us there.
ANSWER: There were two major breakthroughs at this meeting, thanks to the work the Lord did in me as I read Angel Armies. I finally recognized that the Lord had already given us his choices for worship leader and facilitators at this summit earlier, but I had not been willing and able to recognize them before. By the time we concluded this meeting both the worship leader and two facilitators had been confirmed.
6. REQUEST: Sunday eve-Tuesday morn, 9/17-19/19/17, Horizon Church in Seattle is hosting a Sons of Issachar Conference with Derek Brown presenting. Pray that we will understand “the signs of the times” and know what to do as the sons of Issachar did when they helped install David as King. (2 Chronicles 12:23, 32, 38)
ANSWER: The conversation was initiated Sunday-Monday, but the real highlight was seeing representatives from many of the ethnic congregations that Horizon Church has planted, various Asian groups, Hispanic and African. The dialogue blossomed the next two days at the Cascadia meeting in Vantage, which had the advantage of a smaller group that has tremendous relational equity.
7. REQUEST: Tuesday aft-Wednesday aft, 9/19-20/17, a Cascadia Summit in Vantage will continue the conversation with Derek Brown. I think the primary question is, “How do we track well with our Lord Jesus Christ who is taking his Church to a place we haven’t been.” Pray that we will see the Lord’s face and follow him well.
ANSWER: The level of dialogue about truth and the transition that is happening in the Church at this time was profound. One summary statement that I love is, “At the end of the day, we are seeking to reproduce the nature of Christ, the seed of Christ within us. If it isn’t reproducing JESUS in others, it isn’t worth doing.” We did see the Lord’s face and are learning together how to follow him well.
Prayer Requests for October 2017
1. REQUEST: Monday morning through lunch Wednesday, 10/2-4/17, the Spokane Regional Leaders Prayer Summit we have been preparing for since last October. Robby and I, Joel Endress and Marc McConnell, all members of the Free Indeed team, will be among the 40 attendees. We are all stepping away from our regular routines and going away for a meeting with God. Pray that it will indeed be a meeting with God.
2. REQUEST: Friday, 10/6/17, 9:30-11:30 am, Free Indeed Ministries Int’l team. We’ll be debriefing the Prayer Summit. Pray also for the Lord’s wisdom regarding starting a “Free Indeed Company” meeting.
3. REQUEST: Tues-Wed, 10/9-10/17, Table 71 meeting in Orlando. All members have been asked to present their updated goals for 2020 and explain the primary “essential element or elements” of completing the Great Commission that they are focusing on. Pray Holy Spirit will actively bring us new revelation from this exercise.
4. REQUEST: Fri-Sat, 10/13-21/17, is our “recharging time” at a beach-side cabin on Whidbey Island close to Deception Pass graciously made available to us by a good friend. Pray for the Lord’s work in us as we rest.
5. REQUEST: Fri-Mon, 10/27-31/17, Robby visits her mother in Seattle. These visits are precious as Robby cares for her mom and brother. Pray for the travel and visit.
